Kazumasa Hashimoto is a composer, mastering engineer and a web designer from Tokyo, Japan. He plays the piano from his childhood and studied composition at Tokyo College of Music (a prestigious music school) in Japan. Besides making his own tracks, he also participates in various albums as a pianist and works as a mastering engineer for several labels.
"Yupi" is this talented man's debut album. The album consists of few long pieces and short interludes to express the whole. He plays and uses various orchestral instruments such as piano, chello, violin, flute, drums, guitars to make the basic structure and combines it with digital pleasant sound effects on the computers to create his total new world. You will find that the tracks are meant to hear the tones itself as well as the beautiful arrangements. Maybe his music can be described as somewhere between the works of Ekkehard Ehlers, Nobukazu Takemura and The Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
