Bronze Vessel, 'Rhinoceros Zun (Wine Vessel)'
This is a replica of the bronze relic from Warring Period (457B.C. ~ 221 B.C.). The wine vessel is in the form of a rhinoceros, covered with cloud patterns. The vessel also has a lid on the back of the rhinoceros. The cover on the back of the Zun is attached with an axle and can be opened. Xi Zun has a sturdy figure with delicate designs. The whole body, - head, neck, trunk, legs, and ass, - is clothed with manifold designs. In addition, some parts, such as the neck, are ornamented with small tigers, rhinoceros and other animals. The ox's nose is perforated, which shows oxen had been tamed to work for the people dating back to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Chinese Ex-President Jiang once sent a rhinoceros zun to American President Bill Clinton as a gift.
